SenCere offers a non-invasive medical device for presure ulcer prevention. The only effective cure for pressure ulcers is to reposition or unload the weight so that the soft tissue under the load can revive itself. Since immobilized patients often have various degrees of damaged neural function to their low extremities, they cannot feel when pressure unloading is needed. The innovation senses when a pressure level is dangerously high and warns the patient or care-giver of the need to unload the weight. Thus, the immobilized patients diagnosed as at-risk patients for pressure ulcers and health care providers can feel reassured that their care has a direct effect.
