Q-Sense

Q-Sense

provides real-time analysis solutions for surface interaction measurements based on the patented QCM-D technology.
Encubator Associate Company from 1998.

Q-Sense AB was founded in 1996 by a group of researchers at Applied Physics, Chalmers, where QCM related research had been in progress since the 1970s. The company was one of CSE’s projects during 1997 and 1998. In the beginning of 1998, Q-Sense began to develop its first commercial product, which resulted in the D300 system, the world’s first multifrequency QCM that is also able to measure structural properties of adsorbing molecular layers.

Today, Q-Sense has worldwide distribution network with presence all over the world. Q-Sense instruments are found in more than 25 countries all over the globe and the number of reference articles is continuously increasing. There is at present over 350 scientific articles using QCM-D. During 2007, Q-Sense launched the new Q-Sense E1 instrument: a single chamber QCM-D which replaces the old D300. During the year the company also moved into larger premises and now have a brand new state-of-the art laboratory, production and coating facilities located in-house.

Q-Sense is an Encubator Associate Company from CSE class of 1998.
