Pylos Nutraceuticals

Pylos Nutraceuticals is a project, on its way to become a company, which develops and commercializes a new way to prevent infection by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. The bacteria adhere to the human stomach lining and causes diseases like ulcers, chronic gastritis and cancer.

Current treatment of inflammation caused by Heli­cobacter pylori infection is based on different antibiotics in combination with a gastric juice inhibitor. However, several strains of bacteria resistant to antibiotics have been reported and needs of alternative treatment methods are growing, specifically preventive ones.
