Aidera develops and markets the Diasend service, a communication solution that is aimed at the care of patients with diabetes. Diasend provides a complete technical solution for transmitting, storing and monitoring patients’ glucose readings and insulin doses.

The patients measure their glucose value and use their insulin pump as they would normally. The patient then transmits their information from the glucose meter and/or insulin pump via a transmitter with built-in mobile transmission technology. There is no need for a computer or a telephone jack and no buttons need to be pressed. The information is available to nursing staff, via a website (www.diasend. com), as well as to the individual patient.
