Traccine Pharmaceuticals has been granted SEK 75 000 from a foundation which supports medical research.
Traccine Pharmaceuticals, a GIBBS project currently residing in the Encubator incubator are extremely happy for the funding, which will create possibilities to further the development of Traccine Pharmaceuticals.
The business developers behind Traccine Pharmaceuticals, Jonna Kloow, Claes Lindahl and Johanna Sandberg, will use the money to continue the research behind the chlamydia vaccine project.
Traccine Pharmaceuticals was recently selected as one of the 13 nominees to compete in the Venture Cup Regional Final out of over 400 competitors and won the audience's prize on the night.
Traccine Pharmaceuticals are developing the world’s first vaccine against the most common reported sexually transmitted disease, Chlamydia. The vaccine is uniquely produced in transgenic plants, a new production method which enables the vaccine to be taken orally. The vaccine antigen has successfully been tested in two mice studies and additional tests are currently performed to document significant disease protection.
