The Encubator Business Review - A Success

May 5, 2010
The Encubator Business Review took place this week where all of the projects, currently in the incubator, presented their business ideas and business plans in front of an audience and a panel of professionals. The two days resulted in five winners of SEK 10 000 each.

The two days were hosted by the famous Jan Rippe from the comedy group, Galenskaparna & Aftershave. The days consisted of presentations, listening, voting as well as mingling with investors, entrepreneurs, professionals and others interested in new innovations.

8 projects presented the first day with 7 being from the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship and one special guest, a project from University of Tromsø in Norway. The projects presented their business idea and a brief business plan and then received feedback and tough questions from both our panel of invited professionals and the audience. The panel the first day consisted of Emil Ahlberg from PSG Capital, Johan Falk from Innovationsbron, Jesper Dahlberg from GU Holding, Roger Cederberg from GU Holding, Håkan Krook from ALMI Invest, Susanna Falkengren from Draknästet and Gulliksson Lawyer Firm, Rickard Petterson from SEB Venture Capital, Katarina Hummel de Meere from Chalmers Innovation, Hans Lindberg a business angel at AKT Future.

The presentation ended with the panel rating the projects from 1-5 by how likely they are to be successful. Together with a vote from Encubator, CSE and GIBBS, these votes came to a total to find a winner of the best business plan. The winner of this prize the first day was Tenroc Technologies. The audience also got a chance to vote for the best presentation, where there was a tie and the prize went to Seaceron and DryVent Solutions.

The second day, 5 projects from Göteborg International Bioscience Business School presented their projects in front of a panel consisting of Johan Rask from Innovations Kapital, Petra Palmgren Lindwall from Chalmers Innovation, Erik Bengtsson from Sahlgrenska Science Park and Mattias Münnich, a former elumnus and from the Encubator company PharmaSurgics. Many interesting projects but the panel together with Encubator, CSE and GIBBS, chose the winner of the professional prize to be Simplexia and the audience's prize went to BioNordum.

All of the winners received SEK 10 000 each presented by Encubator. Congratulations to all of you and a big thank you to all the projects for great presentations and to our excellent panel.
