Vasasensor Receives More Funding

VINNOVA has decided to contribute SEK 4.4 million to Vasasensor's project "Energy Savings and Reduced Spillage in Paper Making".
Out of nearly 200 research and development projects who applied, Vasasensor's project was one of the 30 projects which VINNOVA chose to fund.

Within the programme “Environmental Innovations”, The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, VINNOVA, funds research and development projects that contribute to increased growth and reduced environmental impact with a total of SEK 150 million.

Vasasensor, together with Stora Enso Nymölla and Albany International, is starting this project to improve energy efficiency in paper mills as well as to considerably increase the profitability of the Swedish and international paper makers. The objective of this cooperation is to combine information from a sensor system with experience of paper making to create new knowledge on how to streamline paper machines.

Vasasensor's CEO and project manager for this project, Sofia Kocher, says,
"It is exciting that both industrial partners and VINNOVA now choose to fund the next project. We have worked closely the past years and this project is a natural next step".
