Vasasensor has been granted a loan of SEK 4M from the Swedish Energy Agency, which will be used to implement Vasasensor's planned project to increase energy conservation in paper machine presses.
The Swedish Energy Agency's goal, by supporting Vasasensor, is to stimulate a movement towards energy efficiency in the paper industry. The paper industry is the most energy-demanding industry in Sweden and is responsible for 15% of the country's power consumption.
The project will create a system to increase production in transforming wood pulp into paper in a more energy-efficient way. Albany International, the world's largest producer of paper machine clothing, is also involved in the project.
Vasasensor monitors the pressure profile in paper machine press nips with their patented wireless sensor system, PressEyes.
Vasasensor provides a wireless sensor system that saves energy and increases production in paper machines.
