This year, 442 business ideas competed for a title in the Venture Cup - Business Idea Awards, and tonight the top ten submitted business ideas in western Sweden were acknowledged. Nine out of the 30 nominated business ideas are connected to Encubator as incubator projects or portfolio companies with five of those being winners tonight.
The evening began with a chance to mingle among the representatives from different industries and schools. Encubator was there to participate in the energetic atmosphere and reported live via Facebook and Twitter. The crowd was later moved into the auditorium for the awards ceremony including a very inspirational lecture from the much appreciated Michael Södermalm, but the main event was of course the naming and rewarding of 2009's Best business Ideas.
Tonight's competition was a part of the first stage of the Venture Cup journey, which was focused on the business ideas. The next step is to present a business plan, which will be awarded at another awards ceremony in February 2010. But for now, we once again congratulate all our winners of Venture Cup Väst - Business ideas awards.
