Oxeon - A Strong Case

Oxeon is the leading producer of Spread Tow Carbon Reinforcements for advanced composites. TeXtreme® fabrics and TeXero® tapes, enable manufacturers of high performance products like F1 cars and sports equipment to lower the weight and increase the performance of their products.

The company was founded 2003 after a successful year at Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship and has grown to become an international recognised player in the composites industry with its base in Borås, Sweden.

It all started with some ideas on a new weaving technology by Nandan Khokar during his Ph.D work at Chalmers. Four students at Chalmers School of entrepreneurship got the opportunity to take a closer look at the ideas Nandan had and try to commercialize them. The work with the business plan  and the initial contact with the market encouraged the team of students to carry on and create a business after finishing their studies. Two of the students are still in the company together with Nandan, together they have turned his ideas into a commercial success with a great future.

TeXtreme® and TeXero® are now used in several F1 cars, ice hockey sticks, kayaks, bicycles, rowing boats and also making its way into the aerospace industry. Through hard work from everybody involved and great support from the Innovation System around Chalmers Oxeon has became a growing business making money for its shareholders.

provides patented high performance spread tow carbon reinforcements.
