Swedish Entrepreneur Day '09

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 - 12:00 - 23:30
Svenska Mässan, the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, Göteborg
For the fifteen consecutive year, the Swedish Entrepreneur Day (Entreprenörsdagen) is arranged in Göteborg as the natural meeting place and source of inspiration for entrepreneurs. The event annually gathers 500-700 attendants.

The initiator of Swedish Entrepreneur Day is the Swedish Foundation for Entrepreneurship, which has worked to encourage a more favourable entrepreneur’s climate in Sweden for the past fourteen years.

Since the start in 1995, speakers such as Carl Bildt (the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs), Sören Gyll (former CEO of Volvo and chairman of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise), Maria Erixsson (founder of Nudie Jeans), the Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf, Yngve Bergqvist (founder of Icehotel), Tom Johnstone (SKF’s CEO), Dan Sten Olsson (the owner and CEO of the so-called Stena sphere), Soki Choi (BlueFactory), Jens Spendrup (CEO of the Spendrup’s brewery), Salvatore Grimaldi (CEO of Grimaldi Industri), and others have visited the Swedish Entrepreneur Day.

In addition to inspiring seminars, a meeting space is available where entrepreneurs and the industry, as well as politicians, the innovation system, prospective entrepreneurs, academia, and students meet and exchange thoughts.
