Encubator is Chalmers' and the University of Gothenburg's tool for realizing ideas and creating innovation driven start-ups in cooperation with Sweden's best entreprenurship programs. The creative partnership between idea provider, business developers and Encubator allows each party to focus on what it does best while embarking on a joint entrepreneurial journey. Encubator facilitates and supports by providing infrastructure, network, seed financing and business advise.
Each year we evaluate approximately 150 business ideas stemming from academia, industry and private inventors.The best 10–12 ideas are selected into the incubator and run as innovation projects for one year. Of these, typically 50% will eventually become incorporated. In our point of view a good idea is a
good idea, no matter where it comes from.
What is an incubator?
An incubator helps entrepreneurs to commercialize ideas by providing financing, networks, business adviceand infrastructure. The idea provider is normally the one who runs the project.
What is Encubator?
Encubator is an unique incubator which combines incubation with entrepreneurial education. The key concept is to attract ideas from various idea providers, add business developers and provide the tools and support. The idea provider is part of the team but does not become the entrepreneur and business developer.
